Future Scientist & origin of Universe
« on: 15/01/2006 11:57:27 »
I'd like your thoughts on the following:-

Are future scientists responsible for the origin of the Universe?

(is there a time paradox in there somewhere?)

Have past scientists been responsible for the origin of the universe?  Or, in other words, did some past scientist (in another universe) do an experiment that created our universe.  How would it be done?  What energy, etc. would be needed?  Sounds like scifi?

Maybe this past scientist (in another universe) developed a kind of computer system and programmed it to simulate his own universe, and then pressed the execute key and fast forwarded through simulation-time:). Perhaps he did this on thousands of these 'special computers'. His aim was to tap the knowledge of simulation-human-scientists, so he would know what to do to create the universe he lived in!

What he is working on is a devdlopment of an idea that has been going around for a bit.  Assume that the creation of a black hole creates a new universe and the prcise nature of that universe was determined by what you put onto the black hole and how you put it in.  if scientists then developed the technology to create a black hole and control exactly what went into it it would in theory be possible for scientists in the past to have created our universe. but I dont see how to get back in time though.

Wasn't "...follow the white rabbit..." written by a mathematician?
