I got a bee sting on one of my fingers yesterday.  It hurt a lot for 5 minutes or so, then was pretty harmless.  However, whenever it gets wet it throbs again.  Is this to do with temperature differences (seems to occur with cool and warm water though) ?

Obviously being on a finger, its quite hard to avoid getting the sting wet.

I don't know but thinking logically, i would say that the water you get on the sting helps the toxins (or whatever you call the stuff in a bee sting) get further into your finger causing more pain.
That is just a guess though - maybe someone else can help more?
