Analyse RNAse activity!!
« on: 23/01/2006 15:23:20 »
In a practical of analysing RNAse activity,we preared TBE buffer, TE buffer, Tris-HCl buffer , NaCl solution and TrisHCl/NaCl buffer and we used RNAse A with different concentrations in each vial to digest the yeast RNA and run that on agarose gel electrophoressis as an assay for ribunuclease activity.

1)Do you think how accurate this assay for ribonuclease activity?

2)Are there any better ways you can suggest to analyse ribonuclease activity from some of the above reagents?

3)If there are contaminants, would that degrade RNAs resulting in faint bands of RNA on photography?

Y'know, this site isn't intended to let you get other people to do your practical write-ups or assignments for you. Which is what this post seems like you're trying to do.

yeah, even if you were to reword the questions before you asked them it would make you think about them a bit.  if your stumped on one particular issue come ask, but don't just post your assignment here.  its really obvious when people do that, and it doesn't help you learn whatsoever

Are YOUR mice nude? ;)

Thanks for comments ,guys. It's part of learning too.[8D]
Actually I have came up with my answers and I'll go for it though I'm not certain if it's correct or not.
I'll try not to do this again.[:p] You have my words.:D
