where have my 4 seconds gone ?
« on: 17/12/2010 15:46:25 »
I use my computer to display weather satellite pictures which use an internally stored map to outline the features when no visible channel is available so the correct time is important.
I use Atomic Clock Sync v2.7.0.3 to set my internal clock which I ping and confirm that it is correct but when I call up one of the atomic time sources such as Greenwich mean time or WLWO it shows an error of 4 seconds !!!.

I've found the solution, you have to miss set the internal clock by several minutes and seconds before resetting with the atomic clock else it only worries about the minutes being correct

Interesting.

Thanks for that note.

In the past, I thought some of the "clock" functions had been listed as spyware.  I don't know if that was true, or perhaps they were misclassified for hitting the web periodically.

I try not to worry too much about seconds, let along minutes  :P
