This composite image is used on the "visions of science" photographic competition site:-
http://www.visions-of-science.co.uk/

It is called "Moon and Eye" by David Parker.

My question is: "which moon is it ?".

Sorry no prize for the correct answer,
this is just an oppertunity to demonstrate your knowledge of the solar system.

PS
please do not post photos of buttocks in this thread  :)

This is the side of our moon visible from Earth,
(downloaded from Wikipedia  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moon)

The "eyemoon" is not our moon.

Here is the checklist for possible candidates for "eyemoon", (assuming "eyemoon" is real, not a simulation).

Are you certain it's not our moon? That pic looks a lot like some that I've seen of the far side of our own moon, taken during the Apollo Missions.

It looks like the far side to me.

Observe; collate; conjecture; analyse; hypothesise; test; validate; theorise. Repeat until complete.

I see what you mean Ariel..

the side lighting makes all the difference, however I'm still not convinced eyemoon=ourmoon:
the craters on eyemoon seem too large in relation to its diameter for it to be ourmoon.

This is the far side of ourmoon:-

PS
Our moon was also named "Selene".

Here are high resolution images of the moon:-

Still can't find areas which match eyemoon.
