I have been knowledgeable vegan for many years, but lately I have included omgea 3 eggs in my diet. I have done so in the belief that the recent bout of depression I have experienced was brought on by the lack of amino acids found in complete protiens (animal source) in my diet.

I no longer feel depressed and I am wondering if my theory is possible.  I stopped taking the Paxi 15 months ago, as I intoduced the eggs into my diet.

Did I recover from depression by the 2-years of Paxil or the eggs.

Thanks.

Lots of vegans don't get depressed.
Lot's of people with depression do eat eggs.
Eggs don't cure depression, nor does the lack of  them cause it.

At most, they might be one contributing factor among many.

To answer that kind of question scientifically you need to do clinical trials.

These can take several years, involve a group of 10-30, some of whom are "control group", i.e. are not given any medication.

It's too complex to predict it has to be done empirically.
