« on: 24/04/2011 04:32:55 »
I get something from underground. They look like truffles externally but what i have seen on internet,my truffles don't look like them internally which i have seen on internet
I have read that where truffles grow a special insect like mosquito lives there and lays eggs there
So where i got them from a black insect like mosquito goes underground there
Below are the pics. Someone help me please

Here are some more pics

The things in last pic are same externally but look they are totally different internally
Anyone have idea what they could be?

I repeat, don't eat them, however your fungal find does appear to be bleeding ...

[poisonous/deadly] Things on wikipedia are very different than mine

The fungus will look different at different stages of development, (your find looks half-grown: the cap has yet to detach).
Also wikipedia is not an exhaustive list of poisonous plants, (nor is the information in wikipedia something anyone should make life or death decisions on).

i have licked it nothing happened to me

You couldn't identify the fungus yet you ingested some of it knowing some fungi are poisonous or even deadly (!).

Tell your next of kin to nominate you for a Darwin award.

I would echo RD's comments - in a potential life and death situation do not trust wikipedia and do not try mushrooms or toadstools for the hell of it!

Here is another web site - which seems knowledgeable (although I still would not want to trust it unless I had too) http://www.wildmanstevebrill.com/Mushrooms.Folder/Stinkhorns.html
