Can animals predict the weather?
« on: 29/08/2011 20:32:10 »
I was at a party last night, and a couple of people mentioned that they thought their animals were already putting on an extra-heavy fall coat.  It seems awfully subjective, but is it possible that the animals can innately sense something that a harsh winter is in store?

At least around here, we have had below normal temperatures all summer.

Well, the hummingbirds around here are pretty good at predicting the Winter is going to be cold. They just take off all of a sudden. Don't even leave a leave a "thanks for all the sugar" note either - greedy little bastards.
