Good thing is that you do not have malaria now...........

Drink soda water, it is better, as it has less sugar in it ( actually none) and will not make you into a rolling rotund sheepskin ball.

I don't think there's enough quinine in tonic these days to have any effect apart from making it glow blue under UV light.
Quinine is an alkaloid that was formerly (and occasionally still) used for treating malaria.
If you are drinking buckets full of the stuff you might want to think about trying the low calorie version. Otherwise it's no more of an issue than drinking a lot of water.

Thanks BC...Ok...I popped into a store today in Brent Cross (I work there).....where they have a lot of UV and I did not glow...apart from my teeth so I guess I must be OK. Thing is , quinine is good for cramps yes  ? (why ?) and I get them a lot but have not since I discovered the joys of tonic water ! I sheepose I could dilute down to slimline if I have to !

I just read on, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tinnitus, that Quinine can in rare cases cause tinitus, although I am not sure if sheep are effected. We might have to do some tests on you Neilep, I hope you don't mind but it is for science  :0
