doest mean when alkali metals touch the  air with out  a fire it will burns  automatically...

When exposed to (dry-ish) air, sodium and potassium rapidly tarnish across the surface. They do not spontaneously catch fire and produce a flame.
I have never tried to handle other alkali metals.
