Thermoacoustic cooling

How efficient is Thermoacoustic cooling could it be used to cool down the shuttle on re-entry for instance

I would doubt that it would be possible. In "space," or above the main atmosphere to be precise, the side of the shuttle towards the sun is above the boiling point of water and on the oposite side it is -200 or more degrees. Since dispersing heat inside the shuttle is not possible - too small of a heat sink - I do not believe thermal cooling would be possible.
