Dear all,

my question arised from one research about petroleum production related to compaction.
In that research many aspects of compaction contribution to production had been analyzed except piezoelectricity effect.
According to that research when the unconsolidated sandstone reservoir (mineral is nearly pure quartz) is exposed to compaction the quartz minerals emit electrical current.
My question is does this piezoelectricity effect in quartz mineral have any influence on wettability property of sandstone?

Many thanks,
Elshan

Thank you very much for your great information!!!

Actually both of them are quite interesting. One of them can applied to nonwetting phase and other to wetting phase....
