Javed Mohammed  asked the Naked Scientists:

Hi Dr. Chris and the Naked Scientists Team,

I have heard that sometimes, by some strange anomaly, people can grow nipples and even teeth in places where they should not be!

I have heard of people growing extra nipples on their chest area and even on their feet and even some cases of teeth growing in a lady's vagina.

Do you have any idea what causes this?

Thank You,
Javed Mohammed
from Trinidad and Tobago

What do you think?

Sounds similar to teratomas, though perhaps not exactly the same thing.
