Dearest Acadamic Peeps Of Awe making Of Me !

I luff ewe guys and gals ewe know that ?  This fantastic resource that ewe provide and the information ewe give willingly does not go unappreciated by this non-complacent sheep !...just wanted ewe to know that !

As a sheepy I of course luff remembering things ! For instance, last Wednesday I managed to pick the kids up from school, make dinner, deal with the tax office, pay some bills, raise an army, seed a planet and change the rotation of a galaxy and I did this all before 7pm....I remember it as a special day !

Memories are really great aren't they ?

Look, here's Constantina Caruthers Ditzy The 3rd trying so hard to remember stuff !!

Constantina Caruthers Ditzy The 3rd trying to remember stuff !!

awwww........bless her !!....must be difficult being a girly and having to figure stuff out eh ?

lool !!

Anyway....ewe know how some people under hypnosis or medically induced states can seem to recall things that ordinarily they would not be able to remember.....?

Do ewe think we actually do save every single instant of every aspect of our lives in memory.....?  Do ewe think that in the furture circumstances/techniques may prevail that allow us to recall even the smallest of detail ?.....like ...reading these words for instance ?.....or a glance at the wall ?

Can we or will we ever be able to recall the most tenuous of memories ?

whajafink ?

Hugs and shmishes

Would'nt that be considered the same outcome that would be reached in a similar situation as compared to when  a trained Hypnotist hypnotizes a person to go back to a certain day or event that has been burried or thought forgotton and the patient is able to go back to a specific day in their life and recall an event or memory they could not recall in an normal state...meaning the memories are there but the right tool or state of mind needs to be tapped or used to recall the details?  I always thought that scenario all a bit of a sham...but if there is something to it would not that kind of support your thoughts about those memories really being there...just under the surface waiting to be consciously remembered or brought up to the surface an be examined by our conscious mind....? I THINK I AM CRAZY...LOL.. BUT MAYBE LIKE BEING HYPNOTIZED YOU MUST BE OPEN TO IT, THE SUGGESTION.. THAT IS, OR IN THIS CASE OPEN TO RECALLING THE MEMORY...BARRING AN UNPLEASANT
ASSOCIATION OF THE MEMORY THAT ACTUALLY BLOCKED OR BURIED THE DETAILS
OF THE MEMORY TO BEGIN WITH...?

I'm sure there are many things that I've forgotten... if I could only remember what!!!!

There are several types of memory, and remembering things.  For example one may not remember a person's name, but would be able to recognize it out of a list of names.

I think one aspect of memory and forgetting is the ability to forget repetitious stuff.  So, if you brush your teeth every day.  You won't remember every aspect of such an act every time you did it.

Out of the ordinary events may have a bit longer memory, or certain emotion evoking events.

One might be able to add something extraordinary to an otherwise ordinary event...  and it may be remembered.  So, for example, if you were having lunch (in the USA) at 12:32 PM CST, November 22, 1963, you might in fact remember exactly what you were eating...  Well, a bit before my time [xx(], but there surely would be some Americans that could remember their lunch meal from 5 decades ago.
