Is having children good for you?

This is a difficult area to research, because you canít conduct a randomised trial like you normally would to test a hypothesis. But a new study gets to the bottom of this tricky question. The verdict? Having children seems to increase your chance of having a long life!

I very much doubt that it lowers your likelihood of dying, but it may drag it out longer. Nuns have a higher rate of breast cancer due to not having children, and loneliness is a killer in old age too, so having children and grandchildren around, even if only occasionally, is likely to be a considerable boost, encouraging people to get out of a chair (chairs are absolutely lethal) and to be that bit more active.

Indeed.  I think we all have pretty much the same likelihood of dying.

Whether or not we make children, we will end up in the care house "in the today s world" so what is the reason of wasting time and money to grow up the kids?! saving money and going to care house by my feet is much appreciated!!!
Do not believe in this ?have a trip to your local care house!!

During pregnancy, some foetal cells may cross the placenta and take up residence in the mother (and vice-versa), resulting in "micro-chimerism".

It is not clear whether this is good or bad, overall...

Your immune system might benefit by being kept sharp through constant exposure to the pathogens tracked in by the urchins from their latest trek through various cesspools.
