I have just sat and watched a new two hour documentary on the effects of Electro magnetic radiation of Cryptochromes in both Humans and other animals such as Birds and Bees.

The documentary is called, Resonance - Beings of Frequency, it is free to watch on youtube.  I found some of the content quite disturbing and I have raised issues of frequencies before on this forum regarding Alpha wave frequencies and interference from non natural sources.

It has been demonstrated that we all seem to have a natural frequency that appears to have evolved to coincide with the Earth's frequency otherwise known as the Schumann Resonance.

In humans the Crytochromes are connected with circadian rhythm, in Birds navigation as with Bees.  Our addiction to mobile phones may well be the cause of many unknown effects for animals sensitive to the Earth's magnetic field resulting even in the Colony collapse disorder which is destroying Bee populations across the world.

Has anyone ever seen a bird land on a mobile phone mast?

As 4 billion people now use mobile phones everyday I imagine it would be very difficult to go backwards.  Also of course phones are not the only source of Electromagnetic radiation we have immersed ourselves and the environment in.  Wireless communications is another example!

As cancer rates rise and animal populations mysteriously decline I have to wonder if there is a connection with our Electromagnetic lifestyle?

Do you have a link or a name for the documentary so that I can worry with you too?  :)  I would like to see what its about.

Within the first two minutes they anounce that EM radiation is all around us and that "you can't see it "
I wonder why anyone watches past that point, I predict scare-mongering rubbish. Lots of scary predictions, but no actual evidence.
They seem very excited by a coincidence- alpha waves have roughly the same frequency as the Schumann resonance.
It ignores a few things, like there are lots of frequencies in the brain and also lots of resonances, so it's no surprise that they sometimes coincide.
The narrator also muddles up wavelength and frequency which suggests that he hasn't any idea what he's talking about.

The "work" by Weaver looks like a classic example of how not to do an experiment (no blinding, nor any independent confirmation).

Then it links to the utter bollocks which is"the memory of water".
Luc Montagnier (of whom Wiki says "He "stunned his colleagues....when he presented a new method for detecting viral infections that bore close parallels to the basic tenets of homeopathy. Although fellow Nobel prize winners who view homeopathy as quackery were left openly shaking their heads," gets a mention for his support for the idea.

I gave up after 14 minutes, because it simply hadn't yet said anything true or supported.

If anyone else can be bothered to listen to the rest of it, please let us know if he actually provides an real evidence.

Whatever you may think about the documentary, Cryptochromes do exist.  No one has approached the question?

There are still no reasons given to the worldwide decline in bee populations.

More research needs to be undertaken using sample populations that can provide significant results.

Electromagnetic fields that share the same frequencies as our brains do effect behavior, effecting reaction times, a connection in suicide rates and much more.  Also since 1968 it has been known that monkeys behavior can be controlled using electromagnetic radiation.

What question?

Been looking at the possibility that the interaction of natural EMFs, cryptochrome, etc could being leading to mutations and health conditions in human beings - see the "chat" zone of this forum.

Cryptochrome
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryptochrome [nofollow]

Cryptochromes (from the Greek κρυπτό χρώμα, hidden colour) are a class of blue light-sensitive flavoproteins found in plants and animals. Cryptochromes are involved in the circadian rhythms of plants and animals, and in the sensing of magnetic fields in a number of species. The name Cryptochrome was proposed as a pun combining the cryptic nature of the photoreceptor, and the cryptogamic organisms on which many blue light studies were carried out.[2]
