Why does Diamond tilt twice per day?
« on: 26/03/2013 07:10:35 »
In the Diamond podcast, they suggested that their measurement instruments could detect the Diamond Synchrotron tilting twice per day, as the Moon passed overhead.

Shouldn't that be "tilting twice per day, as the Earth rotates"?
...Once while the Moon passes overhead, and another time as it passes underfoot...
(The Sun would also have a slightly smaller effect.)

It all depends on whether you are describing a pre-Copernicus solar system, or a post-Copernicus solar system.
