Obesity (WLS) surgery and wrapping the feet
« on: 12/07/2006 23:42:01 »

SIMILARITY AND DIFFERENCES BETWEEN OBESITY SURGERY TODAY AND WRAPPING THE FEET IN OLD CHINA

First, there is one big difference between feet wrapping, what was custom in old China, and all kinds of obesity surgery today.
In old China, wrapping the feet was an effective way to keep the body weight under control for life amongst the whole female population.
By all kinds of obesity surgery, only the first couple of years (if they survive at all the obesity surgery) do they at some point reduce and control their body weight, but after that the majority of patients have their body weight get out of control.

Why do patients at all lose some body weight after stomach surgery (in many cases this is only initial weight loss)?
The present scientific dogma is that after an obesity surgery, patients lose weight because they are eating less. But the truth is that they do not lose weight because they eat less after obesity surgery.

One fact is that obesity surgery causes a restriction of calorie intake (volume of the food).

Another fact is that obesity surgery causes modification of the patientís way of walk and way of body posture by sitting and walking.

We just need to observe obese people on how they walk and how they sit before obesity surgery, and how they walk and how they sit after obesity surgery and we will see a big difference.

They lose body weight because by walking, they canít carelessly transfer body weight from one leg to another without feeling pain in the body caused by impact force, particularly in the part of the body where the operation was preformed.

They couldnít swing with the upper body from one side to another by transferring body weight from one leg to another without feeling pain in the body, particularly in the place in the body where surgery was performed.

Obesity surgery not only causes modification of the patientís way of walk but as well as greatly modify the body posture when it sits.
If we observe a patientís body posture in a sitting position before and after obesity surgery, we can notice a big difference.

Before obesity surgery, all obese people have slightly back-bending position, and in this case weight of the upper body puts pressure on the stomach, the waistline and on most internal organs.

After obesity surgery all patients have to adapt to a different body posture by sitting (seating tall position) then what they used before obesity surgery. They can not sit in such a way that the weight of the upper body puts pressure on the stomach and internal organs, because of the increased sensitivity (brought about by obesity surgery) of this part of the body.

Not only is the strain caused by the impact force responsible for weight gain, but the strain caused by upper body activity is also responsible for weight gain.

Each time as we are swinging with the upper body from one side to another, we are throwing the upper body out of the centre of gravity (out of balance) which has the effect of producing extra strain.
One strain is caused by an impact force and another strain is caused by upper body activity.

Strain caused by impact force can finish anywhere in the body, from hips and buttock to the rest of the body, depending on how the body posture is by walking or running. But strain caused by upper body activity with poor balance appears in the waistline.

Obesity surgery has one affect of increasing sensitivity of the stomach. Stomach is part of the waistline. Each small strain in the waistline is also a small strain on the stomach.

Obesity surgery has the affect of increasing stomach sensitivity on the small strain.

Any activity before obesity surgery that caused a small strain in the waistline and in the stomach, this same activity after stomach surgery causes a big strain (pain) in the stomach. To avoid this pain, the patient starts to immediately correct his way of motion in such a way that he starts to gently transfer body weight from one leg to another and at the same time reduce the swinging of the upper body.

And at this stage of the health situation, they were able to lose the weight and to keep the body weight under control, because they reduced the strength of the impact force, which appears by each step, and they reduced the swinging of the upper body by each step. Only at some point of recovery from obesity surgery do patients begin to adopt their previous way of motion and way of body posture what has the affect of slowing weight loss or completely stopping further weight loss or starting to gain body weight.

There is one more interesting thing that is happening by those who wrapped their feet, and that is that it wasnít such an effective way to keep the feet small.
ē   They achieved to keep the feet shorter, but actually the feet grew in height.
ē   By this custom, they successfully reduced the length of the feet from toes to the heels, but they increased the size measured from the bottom of the feet to the top.
ē   This means that a woman with wrapped feet has smaller feet compared to those who didnít wrap their feet, but only in the length of the feet. At the same time they had larger feet concerning the height of the feet, than people who didnít used to wrap their feet.
ē   The intention of feet wrapping was to achieve small feet and we can see it was not so successful to keep the feet small, with this method they achieved to keep feet shorter but at the same time they kept the feet higher. But unintentionally, they achieved to control their body weight, as well as their shape of the body.
ē   Their intention was to keep feet small all their life but the side effect was that they controlled their body weight and shape.

Similarly as in today, by all kind of obesity surgery, the intention is to control the body weight.
But the only thing they surely achieved is that they worsened the health situation of the patient.
The result is that they will die during the surgery or shortly after or they will in the best case, be able to control their body weight only a short time after surgery, one, two, and a maximum of four years, but for the rest of their life they will at some stage suffer physical disability, brought about by obesity surgery.

ē   The effect of obesity surgery is physically inflicted illness on the body and side effect is weight loss, but in most cases, only for a short period of time.
ē   In most cases, side effect (weight loss) is only temporary, but some stage of disability caused by physically inflicting illness is permanent.

Proponents of obesity surgery claim that surgery causes restriction of calories and because of that fact, the patient loses weight.
We can see that the patient loses weight because obesity surgery causes modification of the patientís way of moving (walking and running) and it modifies the patientsí body posture.

It means that from the point of weight loss, obesity surgery is pointless.

Another claim is that obesity surgery improves the health situation by patients affected with diabetes.

We can see that improvement in health by patients who are affected with diabetes is due to a modified body posture and to some extent, due to a modified way of walking. Because before obesity surgery, the patient has adopted a back banding body posture in such a way that weight of the upper body at all times (by walking or seating) puts pressure on the waistline and on most internal organs. One of these internal organs is the pancreas. It means that the pancreas was exposed to some level of strain caused by the weight of the upper body and this strain caused a malfunction of the pancreas, and a malfunction of the pancreas caused diabetes. After modifying the body posture (in this case caused by obesity surgery) weight of the upper body does not put pressure on the pancreas, and because of that fact, patients affected with diabetes after obesity surgery, experience improvement in health situation concerning diabetes.

We can see that from the point of improvement in the health situation by obese patient affected with diabetes, that obesity surgery is pointless.

The third thing that is misleading nearly everyone is the excessive skin by patients who lose plenty of weight.

Every day we have chance to read reports of how the patient is left with plenty of excessive skin after he lost a lot of weight due to obesity surgery. Nearly for everyone, this is one more proof that obesity surgery efficiently causes weight loss, and further more, ensures the theory of weight loss based on counting calories.
But if we take a closer look we can see that what health experts and health correspondents call excessive skin is not only skin alone, it is as well as plenty of human flesh, mostly fat tissues, together with the skin. It means that the outer layer of the human body did not lose weight after obesity surgery.
There can be plenty to be said about the misconception and misinformation concerning excessive skin in case of obesity surgery, but let us understand why the outer layer of the body together with the skin did not lose proportional amount of weight compared to the whole body.

Obesity surgery causes modification of the patientís way of walking and way of body posture and that causes weight loss. As the body as a whole changes the way of walking, excessive fat and muscle tissues continue, to some extent, to fidget by nearly every movement of the body.

Fidgeting of tissues occur in most cases less than before obesity surgery, but still enough to produce small strain and this strain obstructs weight loss in the outer layer of the body and at the same time obstruct shrinking of the skin.

We can see that from all points of view that obesity surgery and surgeries associated with obesity surgery are pointless.

I totally agree with all of the facts stated above. I would also like to lead you to Julianne Kennedy's site. Have you heard about her? Well, she has done a lot of research on weight loss surgeries. Now, she is giving away free reports in order for the world to know the status of obese people in the society. Download it for free newbielink:http://www.weight-loss-surgery-secrets.com/controversial/free_wls_report.htm [nonactive]. Don't worry, you are not required to click on ads or do something irrelevant. Trust me. I just want to spread the good news.

I never heard about Julianne Kennedy before but a few minutes ago I find on google this link http://medical.presslib.com/mental-health/587492.htm where she saying
Quote
Kennedy's strongest argument is her belief morbid obesity is an eating disorder similar to anorexia nervosa,.

I am glad to hear that. Thank you very much... Wait... I can’t figure out how you can agree with the facts that I stated above and in same times to agree with Julianne Kennedy’s theory that morbid obesity is an eating disorder.

Anyway, in January 2008 I will publish article on my web page that will stop this misery.

I hope that the beginning of 2008 will be last time that is WLS performed.
