How do I control my goosebumps at will?
« on: 09/10/2013 04:02:33 »
All my life I been able to control my goosebumps. Anyone out there that can do the same?  Strange stuff happen when I do it.  Recently I read a book called "Goosebumps & The Energy body" newbielink:http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00FN7LBIK/thenakedscien-21 [nonactive]
The guy in the book does the same thing and says that it's the energy body or the spirit. I'm confused cause sometimes when I do it I get real dizzy and get a headache.
I dont know if its a good or a bad thing. Anybody any other explenations?

Hi, I can control goosebumps too by closing my eyes and doing something in my brain, but don't get dizzy from it.

Hello. I also have this ability and while it is variously described here, the people who have this will realize its more than goosebumps. Does the Heart Rate increase? Headache during or after? It is done by some strange "just think it" ability? Piloerection? Blood pressure increases, for those who have tested feedback? Tingling or squeezing sensation; perhaps in head, neck, chest, or other? Tired after doing this? No one really seems to know what you are describing and when most people respond they tell you it is not possible or discuss meditation, breathing, or other tools to do this- but you know this is not the same thing?

A few of us locked into a forum thread at lucid dreaming- newbielink:http://www.dreamviews.com/fitness-health/88482-adrenaline-rush-will-new-post.html [nonactive] and with some online support from others, I am conducting a series of medical tests. We are also launching a survey (Apr 14)- newbielink:http://kwiksurveys.com/s.asp?sid=lxkp91z7kx6ezyi342919 [nonactive]

Sure, people who dont have it could take survey and skew results; we are just trying to understand. If you have to ask yourself if you have this, you do not. This is not a super ability, super power, and many fear it is a dangerous thing happening to us. When adrenaline dumps so does cortisol. Over time we worry that our health may be impaired. Somehow, it seems those who can do this are somehow triggering the adrenals to dump epinephrine. So, please pass the word and help us. All the medical studies available seem to only be interested in heart rate changes related to imagery or diversion, not outright decision, like blinking an eye. Thanks
