Free fuel from water.
« on: 15/10/2013 05:06:25 »
The idea is simple, and doable.  Hydrogen fuel for free!  You have all heard of this idea before I bet. Electrosis, just add electricity to water and wala! hydrogen fuel. But you get less energy from the hydrogen then the electricity can provide by it's self (oh noooo) so what?

Im starting a new exercise program! get ripped! and get free gas for attending! I think you know were i'm going with this. :)

Some exercise machines like the one above produces lots of electric power through the use of fly wheels, the basic idea is that you can get the high voltage power output from these devices and connect them to tanks/vats of sea water and power the effect of electrosis with your body.

The greenest Idea of the century! It would give people a reason to get off their fat buts and get physically fit, at the same time you can power your car with echo-friendly hydrogen fuel! good luck "patenting" that one, all you need is magnets and copper wire to make a fly wheel. even a child can make one if those.

spread the word! tell them the scientificsorcerer sent you.
Take that oil industry!

this idea tackles a ton of modern day problems in America and the world.

say goodbye to the "Fuel crisis"
say goodbye to "global warming and fossil fuels"
say goodbye to "obesity and exercise related health problems"
say goodbye to the "oil driven wars"

and say hello to the green future were people are healthy, there is no smog and never having to spend a dime on gas.

if this idea catches on, then this simple Idea could save the world  :I

ps:(you may want to invest in gold's gym)

Cycling vigorously for an hour a day would only produce about 1% of the electricity a westerner uses every day...

RD it's not about producing electricity, it's about producing hydrogen.

A team of 60 rowers, from Nottingham university's boat club, used five adapted rowing machines to produce 10 kilowatt hours within 24 hours

A Nissan Leaf claims to manage 6.4 km on 1kWh stored battery power.
So a team of 60 expert rowers going at it constantly for a day and a night could then power a Leaf to drive 64km(~43 miles) on the electricity directly.

But you want to throw away half this energy converting* to hydrogen.
 * that is, an extra 50% turns to waste heat in the round-trip conversions; and that is if you are using an expensive fuel cell in the car; it's much worse otherwise.

As you can see, these figures are hardly going to have the oil barons shaking in their boots.

You also need to take into account the massive inefficiencies of human power produced from the food consumed. .... The irony is, if the food the rowers require to carry out this feat is grown using (fossil derived) nitrogen fertilisers, the amount of fossil-fuel used could quite easily be more than if it had simply been put in a conventional piston engine.

You eat about 1 MJ of chemical energy every day. Nearly all of this is used to keep you warm. The maximum useful output of a human being seems to be about 0.3 MJ (during perhaps one day in three) by champion cyclists flying manpowered aircraft. For most manual workers and athletes the max is closer to 0.1 MJ/day. But to sustain a western lifestyle you need at least 15MJ per day of other energy.

Your best bet is to use a proper bike for getting around, and rely on burning hydrocarbons or uranium for everything else.
