How do I update my webforum software by FTP?
« on: 20/10/2013 05:43:57 »
I have a new website and forum. I need to update the version of the forum software but I need to use an FTP program to do that. I've never used one before so I need some help. I am using WinScp for my FTP program. I don't know how to use it and the help files donít' seem that easy to use.

Can someone please help me use it to update my software? Preferably in PM or e-mail so as not to make too much information public knowledge.

The best approach is to build a local version of the forum software so taht you know you have everything working, then move the whole tree to the remote server. Win scp is good; we use that for our audio file transfers.
