Inflammation and diet
« on: 17/03/2014 19:42:58 »
Hellop Everyone!
So I have a question. We know that certain diets may make us more prone not only to viruses and bacteria, but also we may have strong inflammatiory responses. When your immune system doesn't work properly, it is easier to get sick, etc.  ( newbielink:http://ajcn.nutrition.org/content/66/2/460S.short [nonactive]) On the contrary, when we have proper diet full of ruits and vegetables, our immune systems are stronger, and work better. It is well known fact, that it is about vitamints, and macro- and micronutrients, but I am wondering what is an exact mechanism. Where are these vitamins and nutrients involved in out immune system?
Cheers,
Promilla
