Do you think this adaptive effect can be entrained? Does it lead the body to generate more/less heat? My husband used to sleep for years with just a thin sheet on nights others would use a blanket. Now he is less sensitive to cold outdoors than others. He actually generates more heat. Maybe he always did, but I doubt it.
