Researchers have created cloned human embryonic stem cells from adult cells for the first time, according to a report in Cell Stem Cell.

It is a pretty simple process to produce humans at least to start it of, I can never understand the enthusiasm for cloning.

Cloning stem cells or organs can be useful if you need to repair someone, but there seems little point in cloning an entire human: they cost very little to make by the normal process, and we have far too many of them already. The difficulty isn't making the hardware, but programming it to do something useful and then finding it a useful task.
