Neurones
« on: 23/08/2006 00:09:57 »
Why is it that the speed of conduction of an impulse is increased when the diameter of the axon is increased?  I know why this is so in circuit wires where electrons are moving, but in an axon only local currents are created.

Please help.

Thanks:)
