Ross Hetherington asked the Naked Scientists:

Why is it that when you look at your underarm do you start to feel faint and would faint if you continue over a prolonged period?
What do you think?

excluding the smell :)

The combination of raising your arm and twisting your neck could reduce the bloodflow to your brain by compressing the arteries in your neck ...

I have the same problem if I crank my head back to look at something high up, when I climb a ladder I have to be sure to keep looking down and tie myself on if I am working (also the same problem using the maximum acceleration of my car).
