Non Racial Terminology of Black Holes and Black Body Radiation.....and dark matter

Black Holes aren't so black, indeed the Chandrasekar satellite observatory telescope finds that black holes emit large amounts of X-Rays and Cosmic Radiation that can easily be seen in space.  They are X-Ray stars or you can call them Singularities in more generality.  I call them Singularities and they can evaporate in space according to Hawking Radiation if they are not fed a constant stream of matter and light which breaks down at their event horizon.

The Schwarzchild solution for the singularity means 'BlackChild' solution in German,  we can call this the 'Singularity Solution' of General Relativity.

Black Body Radiation from the Boltzman distribution derived by Max Planck is also not so black.  It is usually warm to the touch and can be seen with infra-red cameras down to a certain limit.  We should call this 'Warm Body Radiation'  or 'Infra-Red Body Radiation'.

Dark Matter is not well understood and is mostly unknown and they really do not know how to build a detector to detect it and there is fear of the unknown,  so we should call it 'Enigma Matter or 'Fear Matter'.  The only thing to Fear is Fear itself to quote Winston Churchill.

Even White and Black Magic can be recast as beneficial or benevolent or healing magic or destructive or evil or malintent magic if one believes that art can heal or destroy or have healing or destructive properties or consequences. Black Cake with currents, raisins ,dates and figs and a bit of brandy and rum at Christmas is wonderful and loved and has healing consequences and is repeatable and is made with love , art and science.   Nuclear bombs are white magic,  but they are terribly destructive and horrific as any Japanese person can tell you.  It may have been necessary at the time,  but that is debateable.  Einstein deplored its use and formed the PugWash society to bring war crimes trials against the destructive or addictive use of science to enslave for profit.  Watch out for the pharmaceutical industry and all its side effects and the Sugar industry  See the film 'The Third Man' with Orson welles, and see 'War of the worlds'.

Some people would argue that political correctness has gone too far,  but indeed this new terminology is more accurate than the old and is racially neutral.

Fear can also be interpreted as msyoginistic..... Filles are, or Fee are
,  if you pronounce it Filles Aire its not so bad.
 similarly, Fey air.

The fresh Prince of Bel Air

Hymn or Magic Fever anyone?!

Trade Old Guieas fo New Guineas!

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens!

Father Charles Goes Down And Ends Battle!

Lilies of the Valley: Sidney Poitier.... To Sir With Love!

The King of Spain lives motly on the plane!

Black body radiation is essentially white noise.

I occasionally meet people who call themselves black or white, but they all seem to be various shades of pinky brown or brownish pink, so I have no idea why they categorise themselves with a colour that they aren't.

Most people can't see the spectrum very well and they simplify into the simplest possible categories.  A hand isn't a hand isn't a hand according to Da Vinci or MC Escher. There are thick hands, slender hands, fat hands, long fingers , big thumbs, digits missing, hands missing, all hands on deck.  All hands are unique.  It takes an artist or a photographer or a filmmaker or sculptor or a marketing genius or an enlightened scientist to truly see the reality beyond categorizations;  Most scientists don't even qualify.  Even white noise isn't white especially if you use a temporal thermal imager.  Also the map isn't the territory. Gregory Bateson. Anthropology.  Even primitive peoples have something to teach us.
You should see the film 'How to get ahead in advertising'  it is hilarious.   Most scientsts are too left brained to be intuitive and creative, relying instead on logic and process and hard work,  trying to capture everything with a simple system,  rarely seeing the cracks in the ceiling or the system that need filled and painted, living in labs and indoors only rarely getting out into the 'natural' world where people are living on minimum wage and have no order in their lives and perhaps no purpose.  A cat purrs and has a purrpuss.  A dog knows white noise isn't good.  A dog knows moderate warmth is good.  If it doesn't pass the dog test, you have to wonder about it.  Sting is good.  We'll work the black sea together.

Rubbish. Or, to use Rutherford's more elegant dictum "if you need statistics, you should have done a better experiment". OK, in science it often takes several years' study to understand the question, but the answer usually comes in a creative/intuitive flash.

glad you agree, most scientists can't do that?  If they could, they wouldn't dismiss the statement outright and resort to a word as denigrating as 'Rubbish'  a catch all dismissal that contains no reason and only emotion.  It shows your hatred of the statement in the first place, which is an emotional reaction and not a carefully considered argument.  The best scientists have creative intuitive flashes, like Watson and Crick, Newton, Einstein.... it takes some intuition and right brainedness to see the big picture and be creative.  You probably hate artists too as 'Inappropriate Generalizers' and call their aesthetics 'Rubbish' too.  an artist isn't always a con man,  but they can be carefully considered as well as aesthetic.  Rubbish has no quality to it at all. Read the book,Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance and see what the ancient Greek Phaedrus had to say about the western world and Quality. The Japanese have it in Spades.

I only have contempt for people who make assertions unsupported by evidence, or attempt to particularise from a generality. So far, you have placed yourself centrally in that group, which includes priests, politicians, and a fair number of bad journalists. If you find such company unacceptable, you might reconsider your arguments.
