What are so-called "3 parent embryos", and what are the arguments for allowing it? Hannah Critchlow discussed the issues with MP Julian Huppert, who supported the recent motion to permit the process in the House of Commons...

Storm in a teacup. Most people take good care to prevent their children becoming ill. If you can prevent and even eradicate a really nasty syndrome before birth, why not?

"Playing god"? Well, as there is no evidence of a benign supernatural power, somebody has to.
