Paul asked the Naked Scientists:
If the cells involved in smell in our noses regenerate, why cannot someone try transplanting them into the ear to regrow sound sensing hair in the inner ear, thereby improving our hearing?

It would also be helpful if linguistic knowledge could be coupled to that so that we anglophiles could hear the distinctions between "D"s and "T"s  in languages such as the Indian languages, Thai, Vietnamese, etc, but I suppose that might involve getting material from a native speakers brain and putting it into our brains.

What do you think?
