How much data do we share without knowing?

If anyone is using public WiFi , (which is unencrypted),  they should employ a "Virtual Private Network" for privacy/security ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_private_network

If you want to see who you are inadvertently sharing your browsing history with online , see FireFox's add-on Lightbeam , or another browser add-on called "disconnect" ...
