Why do Galaxies and Stars rotate?

I started this thread so I might as well put my 5 penny's worth in to this thread.
Lets forget matter for a second and just think space-time.
Get a balloon and draw vertical/horizontal lines on it, now inflate that balloon and at the same time create pinch points on it with varying degrees of pressure to represent the slowing of time created by matter and you will observe as the balloon inflates the lines start to curve around the pinch points on the balloon.
This I presume is what started the rotation in the universe.
