New Forum colour scheme

I have been working on a complete site redesign for the naked scientists, you can have a sneak preview at:
http://typo.nakeddiscovery.com/
This is going to involve reskinning the forum to fit in with the new site. Each section of the new site has a different colour, and seeing as you guys are going to have to put up with whatever is chosen, I thought I would ask for suggestions.

Each colour scheme is based on a dark colour and 3-4 lighter versions of it. Colours in the #RRGGBB eg #fc3f2a format would be most appreciated, but I can probably find them from images or descriptions.

I hope you will like it.

Very nice Dave.

i have to say i never liked the look of the original design. at best its quirky. use of purple thought is associated to trance. it might lead to people falling asleep during late night sessions. i would think about using some energetic colours with it or changing it altogether.

The colours are just what I came up with first late at night on various occasions, changing each colour scheme just involves changing about 8 numbers and running a couple of scripts, so they are probably going to change. That's why I was asking for suggestions...

I like the new colors, they are vibrant and cheery... Nice look and layout.. I like how the text boxes are softenened by rounded corners instead of hard edges, rectangles etc. Very nice , Takes away the dry sterile feeling, and makes it more pleasurable. Science is exciting, can be dry sometimes, butit is always exciting and adding a softer look actually makes it more pleasant to read.. Very nice!!

I liked both versions and most of the colours.
Me think we should codcentrate on contents most
of all and try to increase...partecipation!
Like old Neilep did few days ago, shooting a
load of topics before disappearing in a cloud
of smoke...another someone missing in action!

Glad you all like it. Hopefully the shiny new design, will give us an excuse to advertise the site in lots of places, so will help the participation stuff.

THat would be cool.. It has been deathly slow on here, and I am not a nuclear Physicist and can't post in every forum, although I do try to learn a little of everything here.. and ask questions when they do arise in my head.. unfortunantly I don't understand enough about alot of things to pose the right questions in the first place.. LOL !!

:) I think it is cool too. All the data was there in the old site, but I think this is a better way of presenting it ;)
