What is a Higgs Boson?

Was the particle detected at CERN a Higgs Boson or an imposter??

The official line is that it is believed to be a Higgs Boson.

It is less clear that it is the only Higgs Boson.
Some theories predict up to 5 Higgs bosons.

With the new supercharged LHC up and running, they should be able to collect some more data about it (and its possible siblings) at a faster rate than previously.
