Name needed for new sleep deprivation study?
« on: 26/02/2016 21:14:22 »
Not sure this is the right place to post this help request, but here goes;

I need a catchy descriptive name for a new driver alertness technology study.
 The name can not use the words;
Sleepy. Sleepiness. Sleeplessness. Sleep Deprivation, or any other negative sounding words along those lines.

Some appropriate words or parts of words that may be used are;
Alert. Alertness. Wakefulness. Road safety. Monitoring. Detection Devices. Technology. Tracking. Prediction. Warning. Vigilant. Vigilance. Novel Ocular…….

The name can include any combination or it can be an acronym.
It is to be used as the title for the study and the email for the same.
Format of the email is; xxxx.xxxxxxxxxx@xxxxxxxx.edu

Thank you all in advance.

By the way the best I have managed to come up with is "Digilert"

At the moment the pun generator in my head is only coming up with terrible and unhelpful ideas...
I don't imagine "somnAMBULANCE" or "lucid driving" would fit the bill... ;-)

You are having a go and I appreciate that.

The words I put down are a guide at what is being thrown around at the moment.
It will be a fairly long running study and is well financed, so would be great if we can give it a catchy but relevant name.

All ideas welcome.

These might be a little closer to what you're looking for:

EyedAwake (like wide awake)
SafeReyed (like safer eyed or safe ride)
DriveOcular (like binocular)

Eagle Eyes
See Star (like sea star)
Sight Owl (like night owl)
See straight
Look Lively
Eyes Right!
Bright eyed and bushy-tailed (could work for possums or squirrels as well as people)
Wakey Wakey...

Bright Eyes? (As a bonus, it comes with a song - but not a very positive one)

Driver Awareness and Vigilance Evaluator (DAVE) could be your best mate.

I will put up all for consideration.
Personally so far I really like "DAVE". :)
We are talking about the name of the study and not the system, so will present DAVE as "Driver Awareness and Vigilance Evaluation".

Please keep them coming.
