Deanna asked the Naked Scientists:
This concerns resistant starches.  I'm on a low carb diet.  Since resistant starches are digested in the gut instead of the stomach, would there be any carbs that go into or affect your body?
What do you think?

Any starches that are not broken down in the gut would be digested by the colon and excreted.
