How long does it take to recover from malaria?

I recently cotracted malaria. I am know in the third week after testing postive for malaria but now I have a problem climbing a flight of stairs is it normal if so how long will this last as I am getting impatient now and just want to get on with my normal daily life?
What do you think?

You should see your doctor regularly until you are completely cured.

It is not a disease which routinely cures itself, so you need medical treatment.

There are several strains of malaria parasite, and some cause more severe disease than others.
Some can hide out in parts of your body that are not reached by drugs, and can cause relapses.
Worse still, some strains of malaria are resistant to the common drugs used to treat it. If you have one of these strains, the standard dose of medication will not cure you.

See your doctor. The following treatment regime is recommended by the CDC in USA:
