How do these links differ?
« on: 04/06/2016 06:28:18 »
What are the technical differences between Bluetooth, WiFi, and cellular phone connections? I have a modem here that has a "wireless" function but is not otherwise described, and don't have anything to test it on.

One difference between these connections is the maximum distances they are affective. Blue tooth has to be close, Wi-Fi uses intermediate distances, while cell phones work over longer distances. Often devices will have all three. A blue tooth printer may have to be in the same room. A Wi-Fi printer may have to be in the same building. While a cell phone connection printer may need to be in the same city district, unless the signal is moving between cell phone towers and satellites.
