Are there any treatments for hyperhidrosis?
« on: 16/06/2016 11:50:01 »
Jill de Villiers asked the Naked Scientists:
   Hello Chris,
My daughter (46) has been suffering from cranio-facial hyperhidrosis for several years and it's causing her a lot of stress as it's embarrassing  and has destroyed her self image. Do you have any answers for treatment of this condition? She is in the UK and will go anywhere to find someone to help her overcome this condition which is so soul-destroying. She lives in Sutton but there is no one in the vicinity who has any idea of being able to treat this except for botox which hasn't had any effect (she has had 2 sessions of botox into her scalp with no result). I have tried in vain to get through per phone to your radio session on a Friday morning with Rede Tlbane, to no avail! I am going over to see my daughter next Saturday.Thank you for listening. Jill de Villiers
What do you think?
