Is there any proof of life after death?

Since for whatever reason its against the rules to post links on this website I going to cut and Paste the Article

Berlin | A team of psychologists and medical doctors associated with the Technische Universität of Berlin, have announced this morning that they had proven by clinical experimentation, the existence of some form of life after death. This astonishing announcement is based on the conclusions of a study using a new type of medically supervised near-death experiences, that allow patients to be clinically dead for almost 20 minutes before being brought back to life.

This controversial process that was repeated on 944 volunteers over that last four years, necessitates a complex mixture of drugs including epinephrine and dimethyltryptamine, destined to allow the body to survive the state of clinical death and the reanimation process without damage. The body of the subject was then put into a temporary comatic state induced by a mixture of other drugs which had to be filtered by ozone from his blood during the reanimation process 18 minutes later.

The extremely long duration of the experience was only recently made possible by the development of a new cardiopulmonary recitation (CPR) machine called the AutoPulse. This type of equipment has already been used over the last few years, to reanimate people who had been dead for somewhere between 40 minutes to an hour.

Near-death experiences have been hypothesized in various medical journals in the past, as having the characteristics of hallucinations, but Dr Ackermann and his team, on the contrary, consider them as evidence for the existence of the afterlife and of a form of dualism between mind and body.

The team of scientists led by Dr Berthold Ackermann, has monitored the operations and have compiled the testimonies of the subjects. Although there are some slight variations from one individual to another, all of the subjects have some memories of their period of clinical death. and a vast majority of them described some very similar sensations.

Most common memories include a feeling of detachment from the body, feelings of levitation, total serenity, security, warmth, the experience of absolute dissolution, and the presence of an overwhelming light.

The scientists say that they are well aware the many of their conclusions could shock a lot of people, like the fact that the religious beliefs of the various subjects seems to have held no incidence at all, on the sensations and experiences that they described at the end of the experiment. Indeed, the volunteers counted in their ranks some members are a variety of Christian churches, Muslims, Jews, Hindus and atheists.

“I know our results could disturb the beliefs of many people” says Mr Ackermann. “But in a way, we have just answered one of the greatest questions in the history of mankind, so I hope these people will be able to forgive us. Yes, there is life after death and it looks like this applies to everyone.”

lol.... Administering DMT in and of itself will not only elicit severe hallucinations.... but it elicits NDEs as well. What a joke.

Hi Eddy, I have had a near death experience and what you posted discredits this true phenomenon, by the use of drugs which induces a false experience and proves nothing, in fact it is impossible to prove this very spiritual experience by scientific method, because they are mutually exclusive.

I have been met with a lot of mocking and flak, after I posted my experience on this forum and a few other

It is simply something no one can ever prove the best "Proof"  Is the personal knowledge of the impeccable honesty of the near death experience'r. If for instance he is your father who you know has never lied to you and he has the experience, you know he is telling the truth and if he tells you it was not a dream or a hallucination, but a real encounter in another realm, not of this world in the afterlife, it is safe to believe such a reality beyond the death of the mortal body really exists.

Regards

Alan

If some scientist had actually proved life after death in any meaningful way I'd be hearing about it on a newsflash across all the media; not seeing a single post about it on a web discussion forum.

It is my opinion that if an individual can be "brought back to life", they were never really dead to begin with...............just saying.

During profound near death experiences it could be said that they were from a medical point view clinically dead , no heart beat or brain activity and in a state that is indistinguishable from a pre-rigamortis corpse which occurs a few hours after death leading to the stiffening of the joints and muscles of the body, usually lasting from one to four days, from which no one returns, except for one case Lazarus of the bible

I had a chemically-induced NDE.

How exactly would you say my NDE was.... "false"?

What is it about your experience that makes It credible and not mine?

Speaking of discrediting, how exactly would you say my chemically-induced NDE was.... "false"?

Unlike you I was clinically dead, not spaced out on some drug!

And simply because I had no heart beat or brain activity due to total AV heart block and was in a state of clinical death, and had to be resuscitated by considerable effort of the cardiologists, by injection of adrenaline and atropine, directly into my heart, as well as many cardiac shocks with the electronic paddles, before they finally got my heart beating again.

I suffered some brain damage due to this and slept almost 20 hours of a 24 hour day, for months after as I slowly recovered from this deadly event.

A drug induced  "near death experience,"?? is simply not a real death experience, but at best a poor simulation of one, that is totally false and bears no resemblance to the real thing Period!

And exactly why any rational person would want to induce this type of episode baffles me  for what purpose as it proves nothing at all?

Unlike you I now need a heart pacemaker to keep me alive.

Whether it's induced physiologically or ethogenically, if one has transcended the physical realm and acquires a new respect for life & death through a vivid, life-altering spiritually-transforming experience that can't be properly described by words.... it would appear that the overall net result is not so different.

And exactly why any rational person would want to induce this type of episode baffles me  for what purpose

DMT [the same chemical that's produced endogenously, and believed to be responsible for the effects observed during a NDE] can reverse suicidal tendencies almost instantaneously.

as it proves nothing at all?

Just like your experience proved nothing to anyone other than yourself.

During profound near death experiences it could be said that they were from a medical point view clinically dead , no heart beat or brain activity ...
Clinical death is a moveable feast, the criteria for which vary between countries (e.g. it's different in US and UK), and over time. Colloquially, it is the cessation of heartbeat & breathing.

The lack of detectable brain activity doesn't mean there is no brain activity, and neurons may be alive even if they're not 'firing'. If an individual recovers any level of function, they were not dead, regardless of medical diagnosis ;)

Of course they are not dead they are "near death" or in a state as close to total death when decay has set in and resuscitation becomes impossible ("Thanks for the smiley showing you were not a mocker but a person just exercising your to their your own opinion which is much appreciated")

"You are absolutely right", it is impossible to prove a nonphysical ethereal event by scientific method, because they exist in different realms of alternate realities, and are therefore mutually exclusive from one another.

Such things, by definition, are not supportable in our universe, so not only does your hypothesis have the interaction problem (i.e. how can the non-physical interact with the physical), but an 'alternate reality' problem (if it is a different reality, it can have no interaction with this reality by definition). Without evidence or proposed mechanism, and with a variety of indirect empirical evidence against it, it's an hypothesis at the very bottom of the heap keeping company with fantasy and wishful thinking (no offence).

So they have induced hallucination and brought normal bodily functions to a standstill, then recovered and resucitated the patient. Pretty standard day's work for an anesthetist working on heart transplants, or a first aider dealing with drowning, overdose, or cardiac arrest. Nothing whatever to do with life after death, just resuscitation from temporary trauma and/or coma.

Let's see how they get on with rigor mortis and decay - the hallmarks of death.

Just a completely spot on and inarguably logical post.  Facts matter.

Answer to the OP btw is No, there will never be proof of life after death because death means the extinguishing of life.  What we are is what we are, the time here is all that we have, so make the best use of it that you can while you can.  But no, there is no afterlife, no alternate reality super magical dimension where balls of energy that somehow contain identities and memories are all dancing about singing kumbaya.  As nice as it is to think about, much like fairytales as children, the reality is that when we die we die, period.  It sucks for sure.  It's best to not dwell on it too much.  But instead to like I said; focus on the time you have and bring joy to as many others as you can as well, since it's the only time that they have as well, and do the best you can to live as fulfilling a life as you can in those days.  For we all, without fail, have only a certain and finite number of those days given to us.  And most of us will never know how many.  You can have one more or thousands more.  But each single day you awaken, it is one more day that ticks off that total.  So live it! Love it! Help others do the same!!  But don't worry bout the life after death nonsense.  For such things will only cause you to not focus on the actual life, the only life you have, as much as you should.
