Jordan James asked the Naked Scientists:
How many GPS confluences are located in North Carolina AND which is closest to Fayetteville?
What do you think?

The confluence project aims to collect photographs of every place where an integer longitude and latitude line intersect on land. Anyone can visit a "confluence" and submit photographs with a report, and unvisited coordinates are filling up fast.

From: http://www.bylandwaterandair.com/extras/visited_confluences.php

According to Google, Fayetteville North Carolina has coordinates 35.0527 N, 78.8784 W.

So I guess the closest integer latitude & longitude would be 35 N, 79 W, ie due west of the town.
