Shaving Foam
« on: 09/03/2007 17:12:43 »
Hello,

This may sound silly but I am quite concerned about this matter.  I accidently swallowed a clump of shaving foam a couple of days ago (don't ask how !!).  Ever since I have felt some nausea as though I am going to be sick.  I have not as yet been sick but I do feel sick.  Someone told me that was happened could well be fatal or damage my health in some way.  Does anyone know whether it will or not as I am quite worried.  I am not sure how much I swallowed but it didn't naste very nice !!

Chris,

as someone with a lot of area to shave.....i personally never use shaving creme, foam or gel. Instead i use hair conditioner!

yes it sounds weird, but it softens the bristles so no more shaving nicks and it leaves you skin feeling soft.

Is that my female side coming out?

Hey, We use shaving cream all the time at the preschool as an approved non toxic agent, I think me is going to double check to see if somebody really had it approved!!! That is a little worrysome we use it to paint with, ie adding a drop or so of liguid watercolor and allowing it to dry in 3-D peaks on the paper is a fun thing for the children. That worries me and makes me suspect that someone did not run it through the proper checklist!!

Can you imagine a a two and one half year old swallowing that we closely supervise all activities, but kids get things in their mouth no matter how closely we supervise so our checklists are supposed to be adhered to strictly and this truely worries me.

Referiing to the website:
LOL that might be a funny site!!!LOL Some of the topic headings looked funny! Or at least some of the user names!

What the heck is a hard soap. Does that refer to shaving creams that come in a cake like soap bar!

Conditioner makes sense and sounds like it would be less drying and rough on the skin too! I will have to try it out!!
