How do X-Rays work ?

Hello my name is Elizabeth and i was woundering if someone could help me. I am doing a BTEC Science course at my local college and part of my course involes an assignment about X-rays, how an X-ray tube works and anything to do with X-rays. As someone specilizes in this area, I was hoping someone could give me some infomation about this.

I just spent twenty minutes on a small dissertation on everything I know about X-rays (it wasn't very long).  I don't know what I touched, but it went away.  Fast.

Here is a link I found that will probably help more than my babbling, though it doesn't cover as much ground.

which, in turn, cover how x-rays work, how CT and other nuclear medicine scans work, and finally MRI and ultrasound.
