Who invented it? Don't you know? Allow me to enlighten you.

The paint roller was invented in 1940 by Norman Breakey of Toronto.

So, if that question ever occurs in a pub quiz you'll know the answer thanks to the internet legend himself, Doctor Beaver! :D

How long have Englishmen been Canadian? http://www.enchantedlearning.com/inventors/edison/lightbulb.shtml

Alexander Graham Bell, the accepted inventor of the telephone, was born in Edinburgh (that's in Scotland, not Canada) in 1847. He then moved to Ontario (that IS in Canada).

The earliest known implantable pacemaker was made by ke Senning and Rune Elmquist of Sweden in 1958 (Sweden is not in Canada)

As for Edison and the lightbulb, Woodward invented it and sold the patent to Edison in 1874.

Alexander Graham Bell may have been born in Scotland (Yes, I do know where Edinburgh is, my grandmother grew up there, but considered herself to be Canadian through and through)He came to Canada and eventually became an American citizen. The earliest brain drain possibly?

And as for the pacemaker, I should have been more clear. Dr. John Hopps invented the first external in 1951, yet your lovely Swedes furthered the idea to an internal pacemaker in 1958.
