STD or Regular UTI?
« on: 07/06/2007 19:59:32 »
About one month ago, I had a brief session of unprotected vaginal intercourse with a woman. It was my only encounter with her. That same week I went through a period of extremely strenuous exercise that left me unable to leave my bed for a day due to the worst dehydration I have ever experienced. My urine was orange. Could this cause a UTI?

I am going to get tested for both a UTI and STDs, but I'm curious: is it likely that I contracted chlamydia/gonorrhea from a single encounter?

" is it likely that I contracted chlamydia/gonorrhea from a single encounter?"
You really need to ask her rather than us.
It's perfectly possible. STD's can't count. There's no way for them to say "He's OK, it's his first"  Or " He's been lucky half a dozen times; let's get him".
Go to your doctor, tell them the story and follow their advice.
