gravity and the acceleration of the universe
« on: 12/06/2007 06:41:15 »
even though gravity and the acceleration of the universe appear to contradict each other, I dont think they do. A matter of fact I believe, one couldnt happen without the other.

We know the universe is accelerating, and we know massive objects/gravity slow time, so if we combine these two ideas, would it be a stretch to say, the universe must accelerate slower in areas where time runs slower?

Maybe, if i drop a baseball, it isnt that the baseball is necessarilly accelerating towards the earth, but maybe the universe is accelerating away from the baseball, cause maybe acceleration is relative...maybe the universe isnt accelerating at all, we are just shrinking, maybe neither, they could simply be the same thing.

props to any homy who followed that one [O8)]
