REINCARNATION??...or not?
« on: 01/07/2007 15:11:48 »
Hi There

Im just as confused and interested at the same time at the thought of 'past lifes' 'Reincarnation' etc and i read something the other day that got me thinking....

If we can inherit hair colour, eye colour, sense of humour, birthmarks, etc from our parents/grandparents/great grandparents....

can we inherit memories from our grandparents?

If so, ..would this put a different light on 'past lifes'??  ???

just a thought???

Saffy :)

It depends on what you mean by memories.

We inherit eye colour, etc., from our parents insofar as they inherited from their parents.  We do not inherit things that happened within their life span (i.e. if your mother used to dye her hair blonde, but inherited brown hair from her parents - you will still inherit brown hair (this is ignoring your father's contribution), and will ignore the hair dye your mother used during her life.

Any memory (using a very broad interpretation of the idea of memory) you inherit from your parents will only be memories they inherited from their parents, who inherited from their parents, etc. - and these will basically form the basis of your instinctive behaviour - but it is very different from actually inheriting memories that your parents may have accumulated during their own lifespan.

i think the posting is referring to, memories of their parents, grandparents life. Places visited, friend and acquaintances.

Personally i don't think these type of memories can be passed down.

That was my impression too - I was merely highlighting the difference between inheritance of hair colour, which is an ancient inheritance rather than an inheritance of something that happened within the lifetime of the parents.

I understood that, George. I also think the hair colour and others you quoted are the only things inherited, i know i would not like the memories of my parents / grandparents. listening to their stories is bad enough without having the "flash backs"  ;)

Apart from anything else any memories we got from our grandparents would need to be with us when we were born. Very young children don't remember things well so they would forget anthing that gramps had left to them. (This is also the reason why there's no point recording a bay gabbling then playing it back to them when they are older and asking what they meant.)

I don't see this of itself as an unassailable argument.

Many facets of who we become are not apparent at birth, and as we age, so our body and brain alters; so it could still be argued (not that I am arguing this, only suggesting that others might use it as a counterargument) that a baby is born with latent memories, but those memories only become accessible when the brain has developed to some degree.

Hi sweety, I have also thought and considered this as an answer to the question of hypnotic regression that memory could be passed down genetically. and so as a result you would in regression acually be remembering your great grandfathers life for example.

I do not know if that is true or not, nor how you could go about proving it, if a baby is born with latent memories and cannot access them until the brain is developed as another_someone suggests could be possible; but again I do not know.

One thing I am sure of is that you would only have the memories from before they reproduced, so the youngest child in a family would have the most latent memories.

But that still does nothing to change reincarnation, or to suggest renicarnation doesn´t exsist.

It is a nice idea if nothing else, and could well be possible.

P.S Not bad for a first post I hope you stay and keep up the standard. ;D

Happy Tuesday All

My view is that there are 3, some may say 4 aspects to the self in this third dimension where we find ourselves.  Namely:  The Body, The mind, The soul (kundalini) and then there is the the aura (merkaba).  When a new being is conceived via the merging of the kundalini of its parents (climax), the biologically known process of the body unfolds around the kundalini of a soul which often has a pre-agreed understanding with at least one of the parents to inhabit the body they bring into being via their love for each other.  Thus, a new life, beautifully growing under the quantum science laws of the universe as we know it. sounds a bit flowery, but this is how the creator intended it to be.  He did not intend for people to be raped or called into sexual slavery, as some are.

When this being finally drops the body, whether by accident or at the end of his life program, the soul/kundalini will return to the higher realms if it is complete in its program, or if it was not supposed to die, it will roam about in this dimension until it meets someone who will help it understand that it should either report to the higher realms (more on higher realms in another thread, unless you care to discuss them here) and be re-assigned to a life program/duty/therapy - depends on various factors.

DNA memory is inevitable.  Many of you are perfectly correct about the inheritance of the sins of the forefathers thing.  This DNA, coupled with the personal memories of the 'being' who inhabits the newly formed body makes for plenty of luggage to sort out/unravel once one reaches the age or reasoning.

If you want to find out for sure whether you are reincarnated spiritually or simply a genetic continuation of your forefathers, I could suggest you find out a bit about Dianetic Auditing (part of Scientology) where you are able to be professionally guided through the memories to achieve clarity and power over the whole issue discussed above.

Many problems folk are currently experiencing are the result of sub-conscious memories of this or previous lifetimes which were never looked at and understood.

Give peace a chance - you deserve to understand yourself.

You are wonderfully and fearfully made by a creator/IT architect (Melchizedek) - the problem in this world is brought about by the selfish hack into the original Elohim program.  The hacker is one Zaitan/Satan.
