No, they didn't. But there have been a few songs based on that 1981 George Thorogood classic; most notably Motorhead with "You Better Swim" for The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie.

"Bad To The Bone" itself was based on the Bo Diddley song "I'm A Man" (1955). "Whole Lotta Rosie" by AC/DC (1977) used the same riff.

IT was George Thurgood and teh Desytroyers.

Uh-uh. It was written by George Thorogood in 1981, produced by the Delaware Destroyers and released in 1982 under the name of George Thorogood & The Destroyers.

The Destroyers are:-
Billy Blough
Hank Carter
Michael Lenn (left the band in 1975)
Jeff Simon
George Thorogood

George Thurgood is a totally different beastie. His music is more jazz/classical with a bit of pop thrown in. He's now teaching at the Royal Conservatory on Toronto, Canada.

Feel free to apologise anytime you want.  :P

SORRY..LoL.

Good lad  [^]

so are you guys still above water?

Parts of mid & southern England got it pretty bad. A village was flooded with 1.5' of water no more than 10 miles from here but we got off pretty light.

Update.

We didn't get off as light as I thought. Banbury High Street was a river because the Oxford canal, which runs through the town, overflowed. There are lots of houseboats on that canal and the owners are in a bit of a panic as they don't want to be washed onto the land.

2 of the main carparks, an entertainment complex & restaurant, and  the bus station are closed due to flooding.

Those fields where we had the floods last time are much worse than before. The same canal runs alongside them and has burst its banks there also. There's so much water there that the course of the river is now impossible to discern. About 100yds of the road is under water (it's flowing rapidly too) and impassable. We had to turn around and go a different way.

That's probabaly because you guys are down river from the people that got the most rain right? It will go away soon if that is the reason.

Please do not abuse the Beaver. He is busy in the shrubry trying to dam the Thames at Oxford, as well as all of the canals flowing from the Costwolds. The Idea is to back up enough  water to drown Swinton and Seany with it.

It is a cooperative effort of E & B Enterprises  - Principle Partners Pictured below

Doc,

Is the flooding in your area - Tweeksbury (?) Is without water and the Severn is rampaging. Are you OK?

I got a letter today, well postcard, from the Environment Agency. They are going to spend the next 3 weeks in my village assessing the flood defences.

Tewkesbury was hit pretty bad, but that's quite a way from here (about 40 miles, I think). But the thing is that it was drainage from the Cotswolds that caused it & they also drain in this direction.

The Cotswolds take 2-4 days to drain and it's estimated that some of the rivers won't peak until later today or tomorrow.

The Thames is in danger of overflowing too and that really would cause havoc.
