why is liquid oxygen paramagnetic?

Liquid oxygen is attracted by a magnetic field but does not remain magnetic once it leaves the field. I don't get it, help......

Is this not because liquid Oxygen molecules are more mobile than Iron particles and do not get setup by the magnetic field, if you tried it with molten Iron the effect would be the same (see Curie point).
