Title: your dream honeymoon
Post by: kdlynn on 02/06/2007 07:01:10
after reading everyone's ideal dates i was wondering what your ideal honeymoons are. i'd have to say again, somewhere tropical and warm and... private

That would be nice not too warm.. comfortable somewhere with a beautiful waterfall where you slept close to it and could hear it all night! someplace where you could be alone with your sweetie and just be quiet and still in his arms. Safe warm comfortable and at peace.. somewhere you could laugh and giggle and have great fun without worry of bugging other people.. definitely secluded and private .. I am a private person in that way... close to the water I love the ocean and waterways of all sorts!

You best get a date.. It is about what you would like to do on your dream date not what you did.. Pretend you are taking a beautiful young women out on a date.. where would you like to take her first and how would you like her to feel about that choice.. and about you? Think of something you like to do as obviously if she accepts that means she is already interested in the person that you are so pick something that is special that you like to do and share it with her, then think about the things you like about her and pick something else to do that you know she likes... then a dinner or picnic can rarely go wrong, maybe a concert or some nice music or something mutually acceptable to you both! Then make your dream date wonderful Like you! YAYYYYYYY!

As I said, I havn't had a date, so IDK. LoL.

You could always go for an arranged marriage - then you might get to have a honeymoon without having a date [;D]

Incidentally, many people don't get more than one honeymoon, so they don't get a lot of experience to find out what they like or don't like on their honeymoon - so I am sure in that regard you are at no disadvantage to Kadie (or me), neither of us have ever had a honeymoon; while other's may have had a honeymoon, but are not looking towards having a second one.  Then again, there are some people who have 4 or 5 weddings, although I am not sure if by the 5th one they worry about the honeymoon or not (they are probably too broke from paying all the alimony on the previous marriages [:)]).

My first (!) was the Maldives - very romantic but actually not very private. Great snorkelling though! The second was in Italy, and we stayed by Lake Garda, so we had water & mountains - beautiful scenery! I am not anticipating a third!

Well it would all depend on what my bride and I like to do. If walking, then somewhere with breath taking scenery, scuba diving, wildlife etc

For me though, I agree with Kadie, a tropical isle sounds lovely.

I would probably want a place just like my day dream. A beautiful beach house on a white sandy beach, crystal clear waters with a jetty and a small boat. And a hammock between two palm trees, a double hammock that is [;)]

I was like that a few years ago. The problem is it's never easy to have someone say 'no' to you, but sometimes you just need to give it a try. You never know, plus regrets can be worse than a 'no'

The comment was a touch tongue in cheek, although I never actually did date at his age, so I could not comment as to whether it would be fun or not - I was even more cynical at his age than I am today (probably partly to do with coming from a family with divorced parents - it makes you acutely aware of the fragility of human relationships).  I have never felt pressure to get married and have kids (which no doubt contributes to the fact that I never have done either).
