OK, I guess it's me again, as nobody has anything to say, so I will run my trap a while and talk about absolutely nothing. LOL! My feet are hot, my nose is stuffy my desk is a dump, HE HE HE! My hair is tickling my face, my back itches and I need it scratched. I have a need to use the loo but too lazy to go in there so I will delay till I can't stand it! Hmmmm what else? I am a jealous female, have rotten thoughts, have loving thoughts, have lots of emotion, have needs and wants, no dreams. I want to go to the Virgin Islands, and want to sleep for 10 years without waking up to visit the loo..LOL! want to stand on top of a mountain and shout out lots of stuff! I want to fly on my own power. I want to sing like an angel, babble like me, LOL! I Want to go skydiving ...want to put my head in a lions mouth and kiss a frog and find a prince ... or kiss a prince and find a frog! Hummmmmm want to talk to my mommie in heaven and give her a hug! I want to kiss a bannana slug, and jump double dutch till I collapse, ride my bicycle down a hill really fast, and feel the wind against my face. Want to hide away somewhere forever, or until I am ready to evolve from one life to the next. I want to right all the wrongs in the world, and make the world a happier place. Need to help children, to end suffering everywhere! I want to close my eyes and wake in heaven..no pain, no suffering, no war, no sadness, and no silence, but peaceful, soft music, and brightness all around.

Actually Karen, I've taken the liberty to indulge myself in reading a great number of your posts. It doesn't take very long for one to recognize that you are full of life and desperately care for the welfare of others. Ok! Now I have been sitting most of the day up and down doing different things and posting.I have come to the conclusion that I am a computer nerd. Not because I love my computer but because I love all of me friends that live in this box in front of my face.. huh! Well if that just doesn't stink I don't know what does.. Not that all my friends are in different states countries etc. but that I can't hug you all or anything... Someone a couple weeks ago told me to get a life.. get out find some real friends because this computer is just a box.. it's not real..it's not your life.. well. I have been spinning since.. are you all real? LOL .. Is anything real.. maybe I should pinch myself again see if I am real..I admit it I am on here all the time, but I am a preschool teacher I work approximitely 40 hours a week,and more if you include things I do here that I don't get paid for. I am a jack of all trades I like many things and yet I am most happy here learning in this forum.. reading and laughing and crying and continually growing LOL and shrinking LOL Have you ever seen a couch potatoe shrink instead of balloon out!!! I have a home, hobbies and I have interests. I have a couple friends. Mostly here in the forum. My family as far as aunts uncles parents grandparents etc are all dead including 4 cousins murdered, my friend from school murdered my family a big mess,my children doing their own thing. I come from 7 siblings 2 dead 4 living and 1 missing in action so to speak..all the sibs off on drugs hiding their heads in the sand hiding from dark memories and their own shadows.. my health a mess my goodness with everything around me such a mess I don't have time for much else..LOL I like it here. It calms me makes me happy and I care about the people in my box on my desk. I guess that makes me a bit crazy too. Do any of you ever feel like your not real. Like maybe there really isn't anyone at the other end of these fiboroptic lines ...perhaps it's all in my head.. LOL and every thing is like a big joke on me a big video arcade.. LOL I am glad for my time here and for all the great people in this forum..I am grateful for my sanity and my emotions and grateful you all don't just bounce me right out of here on my ear! Grateful for a yawn cause I can't see straight and need some sleep, because things are blurred right now.. I need some sleep..

no, a friend i work with gives me a lift so its his car that has the mileage on it. i save my NPR and Naked Scientist for the 3 hour train rides to pick Anastasia up.

Well My hair is down and keeps tickling my face.. My brain has stopped processing any thoughts worth thinking about and my telephone light is a pretty orange like Neily's font!
I need to go to the barn and bring my file cabinet into the house. Too many papers and I need to organize things. I have a million papers I need to be separated divided sorted and thrown away but I can't seem to get my head into it to do it. I have photos that need albums and photos that need labeling . I have stamp albums I need to organize and update . I have to find homes for two old console stero phonographs etc. I need to organize my records,Music as well as personal household junk! I need to make something new and beautiful for with my sewing machine.. I have some Old old victorian dress patterns that I wanted to try to make a few of. I have some scarlet Ohara era dress patterns that I love that I would like to make. A couple little girl size ones that would be beautiful dress up costumes for a dramatic play area. Couple little boys knickers patterns. Just don't feel like sewing. Never did get my stereo in my car I want to do that soon. Just bought a wireless thing for my computer,so when I get my laptop I can sit where I want..
Thinking about taking out my attic drop down ladder and installing it myself, else I will never get it in there! Also need to put my new screen door on the front door..LOL as I bought it in 1997 and it is still in it's package! Same as the replacement window for my bedroom. It has been cracked for 20 years, Like ME! I have had the window since 97 also still standing in my bedroom closet! LOL!!!!! aye aye aye! Need to replace light in bedroom ceiling has faulty wire so bought a new one but do not have it in yet! So much to do.. Hey can I get myself cloned..LOL and still keep my repair manual intact in my brain or do they just do a transplant!!! LOL Where is cranial implant maybe he Could help me with transplant Knowledge!!! Well, Here I am again...The day is moving along slowly. My brain is feeling empty. I went to the loo and started out and caught sight of my face in the mirror.. Oh lordy My eyes are all puffy ... face was iccky pasty and even though I got 4 hours sleep this morning I am still tired. I have been taking longer breaks from the computer but does nothing but make me feel more lonesome.. visited with my friend to say Goodbye.. and now all I can do is cry...she leaves tomorrow I have said goodbye to my friends for years always hard..this time seems harder still seems like forever..
The sun shined today I took some pictures for the forum in the plant threads..LOL really for (Paul)..in a while I am going to take my self to the river.. and sneak down the bank onto the lower rocks and take some more pictures..LOL..
The light is nice about 7:30pm. The river was looking quite beautiful.
I am defineitely bored stiff. Miss my kids at work..and my coworkers.. and the parents..They are great! I love people so I am going nuts here everyday..
My friend gave me a 3-D puzzle to put together..LOL I love it.. I will be working on it and when I get it together I will take a picture and send her one and post it too!LOL

I got my scanner working but need help converting a scanned picture into a jpeg to upload to my photobucket.. they are in my pictures on the computer, but I cannot seem to get them into photobucket!

Well I have just finished putting together a 16 hole shoe cubicle that had 50 side and top oblong panels and 17 square end panels leaving the finished cubicle with seventeen finished oblong enclosures and 3 endless partially finished oblong enclosures. 1 extra, long panel with oodles of connectors left over. I guess they thought I would break something or was too stupid and would put it together wrong.. but I fooled them.. LOL I have extra parts and that is never good! LOL.. LOL Really its perfect but they should have gave me three more in caps to finish the extra oblongs off.. LOL! I think they must have included the ten extra sides for replacement s in case some break or something! Which tells me that I may have purchased Cheese instead of quality! LOL.. I watched most of a movie and had quite a time putting that thing together laying down! I cannot wait for ten oclock tomorrow to come so I can loose these stupid wraps.. I feel like Mobey Dick Beached!.. I went to the beach and watched a bunch of kids chasing and stirring up red crabs for fishing. I watched some people flying their kites, and wish I had taken mine. I hook mine up to a fishing line, and then I keep letting it our until it is way the heck up there! It was breezy out there today, but it was perfect. I forgot my sunscreen and got my face a bit red.
I am hot, and icky tonight, and can't sleep! Nobody doing any posting much and so I am also bored, and I have read several posts from all kinds of threads earlier, and then decided to lay down.
I wonder what cool things you guys built, or put together? OOOOH new thread!

Yes indeedy! I'm due another coffee, only one so far today, and I'm beginning to slow.......
It was a late start this morning, didn't get to work until 9 ish. I'm usually in a about 8. Toby was up during the night for bladder emptying, but then saw "scary" things and was up another 3 times. It's always timed to be when you're just nodding off again, and each time it takes longer to get back to sleep. So, when the alarm went off at 6, I just knocked it off and fell asleep again till 7:30.
This morning so far, I've edited an introduction for a science publication going out this month on the relative merits of plantation or "close-to-nature" forestry, caught up on my emails, sent some, and a couple of other menial tasks that have to be done. You're coffee invitation sounds like an ideal break opportunity! I'll just be round......

You put 100ml on full-fat milk in, microwave it for a minute, use the plunger to froth for about 30 seconds, et voila! Frothy coffee! Sprinkle of cinnamon/chocolate - cappuccino!

Fancy a nice quiet place by the water in the woods.. Peaceful with birds singing..Listening to the water as it runs over the rocks in the fall rippling down like tears from my eyes.. lost somewhere between now and yesterday.. trying to make since of this puzzle..Perplexed by the intricacy of it's pieces and the complicated way they all come together to make up my life. Sometimes I am completely in the dark and then sometimes the light shines so brightly that it is blinding not only to me but to others around me, so intense that it is suffocating and and yet so pure it overwhelms me with emotion. I am wrought with ups and downs I do not understand.. and everyday I get up again grateful for this place ..grateful for the pieces of reality I find here. Thankful for my friends and grateful to find hope within these forum walls.. something to get me to the next day.. to look forward to talking with a friend or making a new one .. wishing I could just smooth things out in my head so that I could look forward further then just a day or an hour.. wish I could know that tomorrow I will be happy for the new day ..and grateful for my existence in it. Maybe tomorrow I will start over cause everyday is a new beginning ..Yes indeedy everyday is a new beginning..

Well today the Chimpanzee Bill died. He was Older then me and had lived here inn our LOcal zoo for my whole life! I loved him... I feel like I lost my brother....Silly , how people attach themselves to pets and animals that fill their lives with laughter and joy and sadness, and memeories.. I will will miss bill a LOt. I have been visiting him weekly since I was a baby.. sometimes I would get in trouble cause my family would say where have you been so long...?I just said what's it matter..They'd think I was nuts, maybe they were right,,,I can't believe it... My brother Tim was merciless and was always teasing BIll, I remember him reaching down and grabbing a handful of POO,,Hee,Hee, and sailing it through the bars, clocked me brother twice up side of his head with a couple nice fresh piles.. ha ha ha ha ha ha...I loved that chimp....

It's dark..there are clouds outside. It was 8o degrees all day . sun was out until noon.. then it clouded over.. started to rain and it was still 80 degrees outside it was muggy and hot.. and sticky like last year around this time.. I remember a bit of a heat wave for my UK friends.. It was hot like here today its been hot for days now.
I really want a new kitty. I miss my job my students, my work..my life.. I don't know what to do with myself,,walks puzzles reading..more walks feet up. more reading here..
My friend moved away.. She got a cool place with her husband and daughter..in Oregon.I am happy for her. I miss her.
My kitchen stove broke on thanksgiving last fall so I have not had a cook stove since then.. so I bought one today.. Works good.. Cooked a roast.. it was great..
wish I had something interesting floating around in my head, but I am not very interesting. was thinking how much I wish I could get down into the woods to my old favorite spot.. a little waterfall coming from a underground spring next to my home..There were trilliums and blue bells in the spring. The bushes have all grown over, and the trail is long since gone. I used to go sit there as a girl when I was scared of my step Dad.. It was green and lush and safe.. It was quiet, I could belt out my favorite songs or sing the saddest ones. I would stay there for hours sometimes into the night .. I would sneak a blanket out and sleep there by the water.. I could see the moon and the stars shining down through the tree's ..stars twinkling and playing peekaboo with the branches of the big redwoods that were around me.. There was this one great big Oak tree at the head of the falls, I would climb up close to it and sleep.. There were these old buried wrecked cars that had forest growing over them . they were covered with loads of dirt and everything grew over the top.. there were three side by side.. if it was really cold I would crawl through the brush and climb into that first old car and pull the door shut and sleep inside of it.. All of kids hid there sometimes it was safe...
I remember that spot tonight.. How safe it made me feel when I was small. I wish I could go there again..

It has been a day. I am on overload.Everything I ever thought was true in my marriage has been all scrambled up.. even things I thought I could salvage. I don't know what I am feeling.. anger, fear, worry, so many emotions going through my head ..things I cannot speak of..secrets that must remain from my children as they are not my place to reveal..I have been searching my soul..trying to understand... 28 years and the man I thought I knew...is not who I thought he was..I am so confused.I thought that all these years I was so ugly that he just didn't want me....I have felt unloved inadequate Stupid, unattractive...undesirable. Everything I wanted to feel, that one should feel at some time or another was never there.
Now I am confused and hurt.. I do not know what's left.. I am so lost right now, I think beyond reach..I don't know how to respond or help him or me anymore. It's beyond my understanding right now.. and I can feel things shutting down... I can't think straight about anything....he was here earlier and stood in front of me and I just froze.. waiting for him to say well everything will be alright..but he just looked at me blankly as if his eyes were vacant and he was lost too. He stood for what seemed like forever looking through me waiting for me as if I could read his mind.. I wanted to hug him and make it better but.. I couldn't move I just sat there and couldn't move.. tears were rolling and he turned and walked away.I don't know what reality is anymore.. life feels like a big game..so many feelings and I don't understand anything. Maybe I never have or never will.

I spent the day yesterday posting and chatting with Ryan. I ran a fever all day. Wasn't feeling great but was ok. Rob came by around 5 to pick me up for the parade.. of course I was not ready cause the parade was not until 7:00 pm. LOL! So He watched TV while I curled my hair and changed from my night gown and robe to my clothes! LOL.. Its funny how we take for granted silly things like changing our clothes.. By the time I curled my hair I felt like I had run a city block just standing in one place.
Then getting my clothes changed was interesting.. I was out of breath by the time I made it to my shoes. So then of course I got sick had dry heaves and had to sit down for a few minutes.
Well by 6:15 I was ready..LOL pants rain boots scarf hat and gloves as it was raining and very windy. By the time we made it half way the rain had slowed to a light soft rain and the wind was mild. The sun had gone down well before. Rob pulled up to the bank in ferndale on the corner the parade would start and dropped me off as he had to park several blocks away.
The lights were beautiful in all the shops and the water from the rain made them sparkle and glisten even more. There were hundreds of people lining the streets with children laughing and full of excitement. The air was very crisp and it was cold. The wind we did have cutting through me like a knife! Brrrrrrr!
I stood on the corner waiting for Bob for about twenty minutes , apparently the rain had delayed the parade people were having trouble with their light displays! LOL A few had half lit displays as their water problems had shorted some strings out! LOL..
We took many pictures but many were blurry, After a bit, I had to sit down and Bob took pictures too. We had to laugh as the young boys driving some of the tractors were driving so fast the camera flash was to slow to fire off second shots and some looked like brightly colored blurrs!
A good description of parts of my life. We decided to walk up the street to the big lit tree. Just crossing the street was hard. We had to stop and take pictures of window displays so I could rest. The people hustling by brought me to mind once again How much I took for granted. I love people hustle and bustle of Christmas but Last night was the longest walk I have had in my life. Every few steps I was winded into the first block I had to grab a street lamp. and I thanked god for the street lamp... waves of nausea spread over me.. and I waited feeling foolish hugging a lamp and retching with no air. It was so simple a task.. and I was failing miserably. Coughing like someone with cancer..We walked some more and were still blocks away from the tree and Bob had to leave me behind and go on and take pictures and come back I had made about 4 or 5 blocks before I had to completely stop and we were walking in snail mode.
We crossed the street going back and it took us twice the time to get back to the bank corner. He said he would go get the car but I was afraid for him to leave me there the way I was. I was too shaky and still had dry heaves..... I sat back against the wet window ledge and we rested for twenty or so minutes.. Then we began the walk to the van..Robert got scared... but I told him to shut up and quite making me talk as it made it worse.. Every minute he would say .. are you ok tell me whats happening.. ? I wanted to clobber him.. I couldn't talk walk at the same time. It took forever to get to the Van then we sat for a long time admiring the floats as they passed by the van on there ways back to the barns...The lights were wonderful. I was glad we seen them this year again. It is my favorite time of year.
We stopped and after I felt better we ate dinner in a Denny's and drove back 45 minute drive home.
I am so grateful for all the beautiful things I have seen in my life and simple things like walking to the loo or getting dressed and walking a few city blocks. I am thankful That even though it was hard I did it and even though it was not what it used to be ... at least there was something!
It hurt but I felt it! To feel things is good..It was good to breath in the cold air and feel the wind cutting through me like a knife.. To see people smiling and hear children laughing and crying..To see life happening around me and to realize that this was all part of life.. hurt pain joy elation happiness sadness and sorrow.How lucky we are to experience these things in any condition. How lucky we are that somewhere within ourselves we have these wonderful feelings and emotions and desires to live and see new things, meet new people, learn new things, and to learn to love the things we have been given and make the best of what we have. Life is a precious precious gift and sometimes we forget just how precious the smallest things can be.... and sometimes I think we need to remember to be Grateful for all the little things that make our world and our lives so wonderful..Its like each of us are a piece of a huge puzzle we all are part of each other, if one piece is removed from the heart of the puzzle the remaining pieces are still joined together to be strong and of support for all the others and life goes on with wonderful laughter and smiles and joy..memories. It is a beautiful thing life is.... Last night I saw how beautiful! Lets not take a single day for granted. Smile and enjoy every moment of your lives, Cause you just don't know how quickly it can all just disappear.Hugs all you wonderful Beautiful people in My world!

Well here I am again... 4:55 am.. Having trouble sleeping again..... went to dinner with a couple we have known for many many years.. We had Italian food. It was good!
Visited a while at their house until Midnight. They are going to chauffeur me to Stanford medical when my appointments are all arranged.. Everyone tells me Stanford is one of the best! I hope they are ... I am counting on the best!
I will know this week, I hope, what the dates will be. I suspect I will go down for testing first. As I understand it, they do their own diagnostics... I suspect I will make a second trip, unless they decide to do everything in one swoop. I don't know. They said they don't want to operate here, because I am a high risk. Wouldn't it be better to do it now before I get worse! Although I feel like if it gets worse I am history! Anyway we will see soon. It makes me really nervous.. I am so confused as over the last two years they have treated me for tons of things and still have no positive diagnosis.. I have multiple problems and they don't know where it is coming from.. so I am aware of many of the problems but not of a firm confirmation of one particular problem causing all the problems...
I just close my eyes a lot lately.. cause there is so much wrong.. I can't handle it well sometimes.
You know.. I was never a drinker, oh I have tried a glass or two and recently a couple months ago went a round with some alcohol one night, maybe trying to forget for a while but instead made myself sicker, and even more depressed then I already was, so none of that... I was embarrassed after the fact! But my point being I have always went for help, when I needed it, and always tried to be healthy, no smoking, drugs, etc.. was very conscious of trying to stay healthy... except that I let my weight get out of hand...BIG BIG BIG MISTAKE! My Doctor said, that my weight has not caused my heart problems that they were congenital and that my weight right now was making them worse as it was putting stress on the heart which is just worn out.
It looks like I need new valves and two aneurysms fixed, so I am assuming that when they replace the aorta valve that they will also address the aneurysms at the same time as well the left ventricle that is messed up! I don't know what they will say at Stanford or what my chance for survival will be.. As Stated to me I am high risk and these procedures will leave me with a less then 50% chance of survival if they decide to move on it and do it... So they say here in Humboldt.. thats why I want a new opinion from Stanford they have all the newest technology new doctors trained in newest technological skills they have cardiovascular surgeons who I am told are top notch.. Some of my procedures can hopefully be done via the artery unless the cut me for the valves.. how could they replace a valve without incisions, surely they cannot do that within arteries etc?
Anyway you see where my head is.. I have gotten quite scared, now that they have decided to ship me away!
Probably why I can't sleep tonight.
I am just nervous. I read something very good today it was one of those email ditties .. You know forward this. This was a boogie woogie one.. supposed to have music but I could not get the music to work for me.. but the words in the mail really hit me... one of the quotes said something like...
"You have NOT fulfilled YOUR purpose in LIFE if YOU are STILL living!!"
That hit me weird cause I thought I was done... So maybe there is something more left for me to do. I just don't know what that might be....
Oh well.. what will be will be and I need to just relax..... LOL Yeah right!
Oh well boring morning and I need to try again to sleep soon.

Well It is almost midnight and I have been listening to a movie going on behind my back..in Spanish much of it! I have cleaned the keyboard and cried over my Pitbull and am just frustrated. Some tired so that doesn't help!
I seem to be just a tad over emotional tonight... I wish I could turn that part off sometimes but I know it only serves to help me..
Tried to write some but my mind is really in a hole.. I really am feeling rather scattered as of late.. like there is nothing in life that's certain and I guess I just really hate that... I want something in my life to be strong and stable... but right now there is nothing... not love or family or health or friends.. lol..
My sister in Oregon just had a spinal biopsy and a large mass removed from the base of her spine.. they could not get it all..They said that it had grown in around many nerves and her lower spine and it was to dangerous to try to remove the whole thing.. She is waiting to see if it is cancerous we should know right away. They have found two more one being the size of a small baseball but in her breasts.. She will have two more biopsies coming right up!
It worries me that she is so ill also..
She is this itsy bitty 4 ft 9 inch squirt with blond hair and a lot of piss and vinegar... She is ornery as heck! Almost three years younger then myself.. she was number six of seven!
Well I am thirsty and going to crack open a can of Sierra Mist Free.. Yummmmy.. only diet soda I can handle if cold no after taste noticeable to me and that's good!Nice and cold!
My throat lungs are sore from coughing... been coughing again for weeks.. after last hospital stay.. I have been coughing up blood so I think I may have an infection in my lungs.. no blood in nose secretions but lots in the deep coughs that tend to strangle you coming out with all that thick chunky nasty green phlegm.. and blood..
Probably got a case of bronchitis... I an sore from coughing feel like I pulled something loose down under my right rib cage.. I coughed had a really sharp pain and what lingered like a cramp feeling with sharp pain in the muscle.... it has not gone away for 4 days.. I have a large lump protruding there on my yummy it feels very tender..
Probably nothing but a strained muscle.. I have an appointment on the 11th.. so I will find out... unless it disappears by then..
The weather is rather decent today and about 40 degrees in arcata.. so about 34 35 here I suppose usually 7 t0 10 degrees different here..
Hey the sun was nice today ... and I could not find a walking partner today.. to practice for a 2 mile walk on march 8th! We will see if I make it!

Haha, it is very good to hear that you're okay. I'm bored too, there is nothing good on TV [:(] Do I get sick? Well, not usually, I am lucky to possess a fairly good immunity system. But recently I have been bitten by some weird bug (I think they're flea bites), one on me arm, one on my finger, and two on my legs, they are not very itchy but at their worst, they were very very very swollen and my arm looked like someone had driven a truck over it. Now, they are going down and I can hardly see them anymore.

I like listening to at times... but mostly in the day time.. the night time I am usually trying to be more active to help me get sleepy... doesn't work very good but sometimes..

So what first made you join TNS?

Well I read it for a bit and was looking for support and information on a diet pill.. LOL I was sick and needed to take weight off looking for a safe way to make me feel full when I ate smaller meals.. So I started reading the Zetacap thread. I was a preschool teacher who also needed science experiments for my Kids at school also.. many reasons really.. It was friendly I liked that.. The people did not talk down to you and I found good information and support and eventually friends..

I love looking at the sky at night. I can look at the stars for hours and not get tired. I sometimes scare myself doing that in the summer nights. Especially when I go camping out in the woods and look up to see the stars hanging with such delicacy. I was so inspired at one point in my life when I saw a star shining in the sky that I wrote excessive amounts of poetry about them and now I look back and give thanks to Mother Nature.

Well I was listening to a chemistry podcast, and at the end, it said "produced by the naked scientists, for more information visit the nakedscientists.com etc..." So I thought, okay, funny name for scientists, I'll have a look, so I did. But the first time I did, I was not very impressed and I also had trouble navigating around the webiste. After a few weeks I was listening to another podcast and again heard the bit about the Naked Scientists at the end so I visited the website again, this time I managed to find my way to the forum and read a few of the things that people had to say. I thought, okay, I'll have a go at answering this question, so I joined and answered it (to the best of my ability!). And now here I am... phheeww....

Oh...I'm hanging in there. I'm on the mend.
I'm in Georgia till tomorrow. Came up for my Mom's birthday yesterday, got pulled over TWICE on the way up! Today went to Ashley's dorm to look at a problem she's having. Her room is full of black mold! She has severe allergies and stays sick, she can't sleep at night because she can't breathe. Half her outlets don't work. She plugged in her Ipod radio and sparks flew up in her face and clothes. The mold ruined her rug and some of her clothes.
I went to the housing department and had a minor fit and insisted on our money back for her dorm room. I'm 99% sure we'll get it, so now we have to move her out and into an apartment.

I am sorry about asleys room.. I have been having to deal with mold the last couple weeks .. cleaned a room for my daughter to move home.. and from no heat for a year the mold had really gotten foot hold in a closet.. I have had to have them bleach it really good to kill the mold spores and then she purchased primer with mold stuff in it and paint treated also to stop it from growing... It is much better cleaned bleached,and painted.
I am glad you are getting her an apartment..You would think with the tuition the way it is that they would see to it that the housing dorm rooms were safe for the occupants!
There have been so many cutbacks that schools are really taking it...programs being closed and shortcuts everywhere!

They're closing that dorm down after this year. Over the holidays, they bleached it and repainted, but it's all up and down the walls and in her air conditioner. When I told them which dorm she was in, they said it would be no problem, but they want to move her into another dorm, which is much smaller. I've said absolutely not, we've already found her an apartment. *sigh* Now we have to find bedroom furniture.
Hopefully she'll start feeling better now.

Try out checking your area on line for free stuff and exchange.. etcbut in your area.. where people have things they want to get rid of.. ie good furniture and household goods... They have one here in Humboldt sometimes they trade sometimes you just go pick it up.. generally no charge but usually perfect good stuff!

Well this afternoon when I woke up.. I was watching a very old movie.. I never did figure out what it was called.. but there was a line in it that hit me as being very profound at least to me.
"Loneliness belongs to all the things of the past."
I had never heard that before but it sent my head into thinking about it.. and really pondering my own loneliness trying to understand what makes one so lonely...? It seems it is really dependent on the person and their life situations ..the things they need to fulfill them and it may be different for each person.. I believe what makes me lonely is different for someone else... what do you think?

well.. I spent the late afternoon in an office being examined by my state Internist Doctor for Social security.... He was a pleasant fellow.. I was so tired..
I am not sure why they pick weekends and early evening appointments to do these checks..
Makes it real tough as I was already wiped out.. my feet were swollen up the size of small footballs and my freaking Blood pressure was 168 over 78! Then he had me go through range of motion stuff with my arms and legs. had me rolling my head back against my neck which gave me a headache and made my neck hurt for three hours following it not to mention making it pop and crackle and hurt behind my ear!
Then he wanted to hear about my daily routine and yet he cut me off and did not let me tell him.. he stopped at shower time.. LOL
So frustrating.. going through yet more medical checks over and over... I am sick and tired and tired and sick and fighting with social security is just making things worse and even more stressful! I must say I have had about all I can deal with and am ready to throw in the towel! So tired .. You would think two years of this would be enough... I think its enough...

Today was a total waste of my going outside.... the sun shined but no matter what I did I was bored. I just don't get it.
It was sunny and windy! Tried to mow a small patch of grass...Mad it about 10 square feet but the grass was 2 feet deep!!
Dude my arm was shaking and it mademe sick trying to push that mower through the tall grass......maybe I will get it done... Hey If I get 10 square feet a day done and I have two acres to do.... how many days before I get it mowed down..Its way longer then tw feet on about w acre of that...

I have two riding mowere but Rob took the deck off to remove the blades on my newer one and broke the bolts off in the blade... has a easy out tool to ix it but won't fix it! lol

Even sharpening the blade with a stone has its own pleasure when you get it right. Some old countrymen I used to know many years ago reckoned you had to have your own scythe. The angle you sharpened the blade to was unique to you and someone else sharpening it would mean it took an age to get it right again. Also the shape of the Scythe and angles of the handles had to be just right. They never liked others using their scythe.
Good exercise too, though can be back-breaking until you get the rhythm right.

I actually have an antique scythe in the barn... but there is no way I could swing it with my shoulder they are not good!

Yeah the one I have has the curved kinda ergonomic before its time handla and a mid grip lowe for a good swing grip... they are interesting old tools... this one needs some tender loving care....

Thank you for the link. I now know what a FOG is. I have pointed out mistakes and have surely made some but the FOGs have never been all over me, nor have I been called one. It does irk me though when I cannot read a post by a fellow US-American due to poor spelling or grammar. I have written to them privately about this. I am in favor of precision where it matters. Often it does not. In my opinion.
Sorry you are so bored. Maybe you should get yourself an old house and try fixing it up. Or a sail boat. Boredom goes away fast that way. A dog is a good one too. Or make friends with people who have mental problems and cannot sleep. That should keep you entertained.

I spent the day sitting in a chair.. mowing one 10 ft. strip then stopping sitting 5 min. and mowing another strip until I got the side yard to the back porch done. Then Sammy and I looked for poly-wogs in the pond she found tons.. and I weeded around the edge of house and flower bed. scooting along on my tush.... Now I have come in and crashed here on my bed ...turned on tv and now am relaxing...I had to rest...It felt good being outside all day!

Well I'm back from Ireland and a top o' the mornin' to you. Err, OK evening, except for those in the Americas of course. Actually back yesterday. It rained the whole time but it didn't matter.

I have never seen the series but will remember your review of the movie!
I have finnished one side yard partially measured at about Sixty-five feet X fifteen foot wide approximately. Rob came and helped with the back half and cut some river willows down next to our fence. They were reaking havock with the fence. He also? Mowed the southern side yard which is considerably bigger and then I mowed another 15 or twenty foot across the back side of the southern side yard section.
I also got some weeding done around my Hot water shed outside of my kitchen..I sat outside with the dog and scooted along pulling weeds and brambles out of the ground!
I want to add weed cloth t the house boarder and plant a couple fusia bushes! The big ones I loved popping as a small kid and an adult! lol..
Kinda shady on the northern side...
would like to illiminate some of my weeding chores though!
Need to see some flowers so have to plant zinias and wild flowers!

The trip was OK. My wife and I went primarily to visit her uncle who is in a nursing home. He's 96 and doesn't get many visitors now, so we took him out each day in a car I hired. He's very sharp still (no Altzheimers) and can still read without glasses!! Unfortunately he can't get about much now (very slowly with a zimmer frame or in a wheelchair) and is very deaf. We have other distant relatives and friends over there, and Ireland is a very friendly place, so we had a lot of visits and eating out etc. I put on 5lbs in 3 days!!

Yes, a zimmer is a walking frame. His is a simple one with wheels at the front. He is very slow in it though as he gets out of breath. He's put on a lot of weight recently, probably because he can't get about so easily but still has a good appetite. I don't know his weight but I would guess more than 210lbs and he is only about 5'7" or so.
You are probably right that my own weight will come down again, though it takes longer to that than when I put it on. Also not enough exercise I expect. But it's a nice day here today, so I will have a short walk after my lunchtime sandwich.
Ho hum, better get back to work :-(

Well I think he is doing great for his age. I wish I was doing as well for my age. .. Well I am sure inactivity for him is the culprit.. It sure made it harder for me to contunue to loose weight...Walking in the pool hs been incredible..Ican walk in there without pain for the first time in several years... It is amazing!
I cannot tell you how good it feels to take steps without pain.Too bad we cannot walk around in a 4 and 1/2 ft. deep pool al the time. weightlessness is grand..Or even near weightless feeling anyways!
I know it does take longer to remove the weight then it does to put it on... that stinks eh?
It was a nice day here, looks as though it wants to rain though... storms comming in...perhaps slapping us with the tail end of it!

Now it is time to go home but I note from the internet that the M25 is moving at an average speed of 9mph in the direction I have to go in, and there seems a 50 minute delay to get across the Dartford Bridge. This would turn a 50 minute journey into a 2 hour+ one, so I think I will hang about here for a while. It's always bad at this time, really bad on Fridays, and unbelievably bad when the Friday is the start of a long weekend (This Monday is a holiday in England). D'oh!

It can be doubly hard to add that two a fairly stressful day. I think you very wise to delay.
When you get home plan a day to self pamper because you need to do that for yourself as well as for your family. Rest and hug your family and relax!!!

I'm home and had my evening meal, gave a hug to my wife and a virtual hug to my grown up kids, one who lives in Vancouver and the other a mere 100 miles away, and watched a bit of TV.
I work in the semiconductor industry. This is usually a conversation stopper at parties I've noticed, so I usually say I work for MI5.

Today I had a second dose of my new medicines and I must say That as of yet I do not notice a big difference, however I do notice a difference.. which is good..Taking some of the edge off but the pain is still great.. we will see when I have had a regular day of several doses at proper times...
Looking outside tonight the rain is pounding and my dog keeps growling at the back bedroom door, as if someone is outside the glass French doors. My son is sleeping on the couch with the TV on. I believe the rain slapping the back door is bothering the dog! He spooks easy!
This morning early we had some really knarly Thunder!
